Importance of Knowing the Shark Evolution

In school, students are taught about countless things. They learn their ABCs, 123s and more. They have their major subjects like Math and English. However, there are those who seem so captivated to learn things that Science has to offer. Everyone knows that Science has a lot to do with what is happening to the world today and it is important to understand things such as the shark evolution to comprehend what is going on. As they say, it is better to know a little about everything rather than to concentrate on just one thing.

It is a common connotation that the sharks are on top of the food chain. They are the king of the ocean because of their capability to tear their prey with one bite. Since sharks have razor sharp teeth, it is not surprising that most individuals would pass on the idea of swimming or even studying these creatures up close. However, some persons risk their lives just to fulfill their dream of understanding more about the shark evolution. It may be a long and winding road but these people are willing to wait just for the sake of quenching their thirst for education.

One important thing about really knowing the shark evolution is that people get to see the other side of these creatures. They may be portrayed in movies such as man-eating fish; however, they are also majestic beasts living under the sea. Although many would not dare to swim in shark infested waters because of that fear of being attacked, there are those who are brave enough to do so. They put themselves and their lives at stake simply to be with these kings of the deep. Thrill seekers would suit up, go inside the cage together with their cameras and hope that all goes well while they are underwater. It may be something out of the ordinary but surely they consider it as once in a lifetime experience. They get to see these magnificent fish up close.
Because of Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, sharks have come a long way. There have been so many changes to suit the needs of these fish today. Sharks started out small and even have smoother teeth. This indicates that they fed on plants on water. Sharks today have razor sharp teeth and grow large thus enabling them to hunt more effectively. Due to these modifications, their appetite also changed. From plants, they shifted to meat. This can also explain why they go on a feeding frenzy when they sense some blood even several meters away from them. The skeletons also have almost the same feature the only difference is that earlier sharks were not as bony as the ones today.

Sharks may be portrayed as monsters in movies but there are those who would beg to disagree. Not everyone will concur that these are creatures to be feared or even avoided. Their power, behavior and interaction with other sharks have fascinated individuals all over the world. They would invest so much to find these creatures even putting a tag on them so that they can study them even closer. It is better this way that there are those passionate enough to do the things that they love and be able to share to the world what they have known about shark evolution.
